I was in high school when I decided I wanted to become a great physicist – someone who sheds light on how the universe works and, ultimately, who we are.
Growing up in South Korea, where very few women study physics and mathematics, no one said out loud that women didn't belong in science, but I was one of only three female students in my class.
If women belonged, then where was everybody?
Now, I'm at Perimeter, where I'm part of Perimeter Scholars International, a master's degree program we affectionately call PSI.
At Perimeter, my PSI class is half women, and all students attend on scholarship – because Perimeter wants the best, not just the best who can afford to come.
A donation to Perimeter supports the PSI program and the big dream of breaking down roadblocks and paving new paths for women in science.
